  • Azore Concrete Ltd, specializes in Garage pads, driveways, city cross, sidewalks, farm buildings, grade beams, foundations, patios, demolition, hauling, and excavating.

  • A garage pad forms the basis for your garage build, serving as the foundation for the whole structure, and later as the floor for your garage. A well-installed garage pad supports the weight of your vehicles and resists a wide array of contaminants; from gasoline and anti-freeze, to good old fashion road salt. Even more important is what happens below the surface: Saskatchewan’s intense freeze-thaw cycle means that correct ground preparation and concrete choice can make a crucial difference. Our experienced team gives you a quality installation from start to finish, and results that will hold up as well decades from now as they do today.

  • We design and build each garage pad from the ground up to meet the needs for each property. We begin by consulting with you to determine the ideal placement, square footage, and thickness for your garage pad, ensuring that it will match your structure you plan to build above it, and that it will provide the most solid foundation as possible. Once you are ready to proceed, we help you navigate any local permitting requirements and regulations necessary to get the projects going.

  • Whether you are replacing a previous structure, or starting from scratch, all demolition, excavating and removal is handled safely and cleanly by our experienced team. Once the site is clear, we begin preparing it to support the structure.

  • The ground is leveled, and then compacted to stabilize the underlying surface. A subbase of several inches of compacted gravel or crushed rock is often added, giving the most solid foundation possible.

One the subgrade is prepared, wood forms are placed, steel rebar or fiberglass rebar is set, and the slab is poured to the specifications laid out in the design plan. We use concrete mixes specially design to withstand Saskatchewan’s harsh climate, and we are experts in grading and preparation, ensuring proper runoff, traction and durability.

  • We finish the process by making sure that the new surface retains the correct moisture level to cure to a maximum strength and toughness, and then finalize the job by cutting expansion joints and sealing.

  • Azore Concrete LTD. takes pride in the concrete work to provide you with the highest quality project. We follow industry standards to achieve excellent and long-lasting concrete. Whether it is your driveway, front porch, sidewalk, patio, garage floor, we will do everything we can to satisfy you as a customer.

We offer a one-year warranty of materials and workmanship at no additional cost. The warranty expires one year from the date of completion of the project. Concrete can be damaged by many factors beyond Azore Concrete LTD. control. Damage from wear and tear, de-icers, chemicals, equipment, vehicles and other things are out of Azore Concrete LTD. control and are not covered by the Limited Workmanship Warranty. Azore Concrete LTD. is not liable for repair conditions caused by misuse or abuse, ground settlement, winter conditions, accidents and natural disasters.

All our employees are trained to prepare, set up forms and finish concrete to the highest industry standards. We work hard to keep up to latest products and techniques and highest quality of concrete suppliers and materials.

We offer several types of finishes. The most common is broom finish, Fresno and Power Trowel which can be coloured as well. We have a variety of stamped finish patterns as well.

The following information provides some of the common issues that you can expect when working with concrete and provides suggestions on customer care and usage.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2022 AZORE CONCRETE WILL PROVIDE NO WARRANTY ON ANY CONCRETE POURED DUE TO WEATHER BEING UNPREDICTABLE WITH FREEZING TEMPERATURES THE CUSTOMER ASSUMES ALL RISKS AND WAVES ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND WARRANTIES ON CONCRETE.

  • Cracks: Concrete will crack. We don’t like it either but it’s going to happen so we CANNOT guarantee that concrete will not crack, even if all precautions have been taken. Control joints are cut into the concrete slab surface after the concrete is placed. However, sometimes cracks occur before the joints are cut. We do everything we can to prevent cracking. There is no guarantee that the concrete will not develop crack(s) in other locations and later on. A crack that is 3/8 of an inch or less (height or gap) is not a warranty issue.

Flaking or Popping: While concrete is very durable, it is not always without flaws. Harsh weather may cause the surface of your concrete to flake or pop. Flakes or pops will not compromise the integrity of the concrete. We may repair or replace our work if a minimum of 30% of the total work area is flaked or popped, except for driveway approaches due to overspray during winter months. If repair or replacement is required, we will replace only affected area.

Settling: It is possible that exterior concrete may settle. When concrete is placed, we compact the gravel surface below the slab, but this is no guarantee that concrete will not settle. We cannot warranty against settling because what’s below the gravel surface is beyond our control.

Frost Heave & Cracking: Saskatchewan is in a severe weather region. Throughout the winter there are many freeze-thaw cycles. During these freeze-thaw cycles it is possible that concrete will heave and most likely settle back to its normal elevation again. Concrete is susceptible to cracking during a frost heave and therefore it’s not a warranty issue.

Discolouration: It is NOT possible to match the exact colour of your existing sidewalk, porch or driveway, etc. Sometimes different pours to your driveway might not match especially if placed on different days. Most of these colour variations are minor and most will fade over time. If you are considering replacing only a section or sections of an existing driveway, patio or sidewalk, please be aware that a colour difference will exist. Azore Concrete LTD. can make no warranty that our work will match your existing product.

Texture: You may notice a difference between your concrete driveway and walkway from that of your neighbors though the same finishing has been done. This is common and should not cause concern on your part. Concrete is wearing surface and it may change texture over time.

  • Do not drive on the new concrete for at least 7-14 days.

Do not allow water to drain beneath the concrete as this may cause settlement cracks.

Do not apply de-icing chemicals (salt) for snow and ice removal. As an alternative, sand can be used instead.

Do not apply de-icers containing ammonium sulfate or ammonium nitrate (fertilizer).

Do not jab at ice on concrete with pick or scraper.

Apply a good sealer if you have decorative concrete.

Re-application of sealer is generally recommended every year.

We recommend that relief joints (cut or tooled) be caulked to reduce moisture, water and de-icing chemical penetration.

Seal coat your concrete surface using a good quality sealer. This is a service that we also offer to ensure that your concrete surface stays durable for many years to come.

If you plan to seal your concrete garage/driveway yourself, make sure that you follow the instructions listed for sealer application. (Warranty voided if Azore Concrete LTD. does not install sealer).

Customer is responsible for insurance, licenses, permits marking of underground lines & infrastructure including water & sewer.
